About
MEET YOUR COACH
Hello! I’m Anna Beth.
I have been lucky enough to be supporting families for over a decade in many different ways, most recently as a parent coach and educator. I have taught parenting classes, coordinated support groups, led enrichment programs, taught in a classroom setting, been a camp counselor, and am a parent myself.
I have my Bachelor’s degree in Social Science with a Human Development and Psychology focus from Washington State University. During my time in school, I focused on the social model of disability, LGTBQIA2S+ studies, family resiliency, and parental burnout and recovery.
I also have my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and a certification as a trauma recovery coach from a coaching institute.
I have lived experience raising two children as a single parent, and over a decade of studying and learning about child development, mental health, trauma, and parenting practices. Much of my education was built on a yearning to go beyond basic gentle parenting principles, often feeling like I needed the “gentle parenting 2.0” course – because intense behavior or care needs are rarely represented in gentle parenting books and resources.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Coaching can take place by email or by phone. Our first meeting is a 20-minute consultation to hear what you are looking for and see if we are a good fit. How often we meet will depend on your needs and unqiue situation, and how you best feel supported.
Each session will be a mix of active listening, asking or answering questions, and providing an open space to share your thoughts and experiences as a parent.
We may look at reducing parental stress and making parenting easier, troubleshoot what isn’t working and why, talk through behavior and realistic expectations, discuss accessibility needs, or work on increasing self-compassion. I don’t use worksheets, and I probably won’t ask you to do homework.
My goal is to help you feel confident, capable, and supported as a parent in a shame-free environment.
I can coach anywhere there is Wi-Fi connection.
